Miss Kim, Founder & Educator
I am a married, mother of two. I homeschooled both of my children from Pre-K through high school.
From a very young age, I assisted my mother in teaching at her preschool in Florida. Then, at the age of 17, I began my own preschool that I operated for six years before having children of my own.
From 2003-2012, I helped found and administrate a homeschool group in the Piedmont Triad. I enjoyed helping new families learn how to homeschool and teaching various classes in a co-op fashion.
I have an eclectic teaching style that combines the best aspects of various teaching philosophies. Dealing with each child and assessing their needs as individuals is important to me. I want to thrive and not just survive school.
Miss Dee
My name is Dorinda Weaver. I recently moved to North Carolina from Oregon, but I grew up and lived in Ohio until I was 39. I have been married for 32 years and have raised two sons.
I love being an educator! I have enjoyed the privilege of attending several schools that have aided in honing my skills as a teacher. I have always enjoyed teaching young children. I had a large part in raising my younger siblings and as a teenager, I was the “town babysitter”. Then it was a joy and a privilege to raise my sons, spending many of those years home-schooling them. For the past several years I have worked in the public school system in Oregon. I gained much experience working at the elementary school level as a teacher’s assistant and also working with “special needs” children.
I feel it is important to provide structure along with a safe and happy environment with which a child can grow. I am very excited to be part of the team at Miss Kim’s.
Miss Kya
Hi, my name is Kya! I enjoy working with kids and taking part in their learning experience. In my free time I enjoy the ministry, reading books, skateboarding, drawing, singing, and being outside.

Miss MadDie
Hi, my name is Madalyn or Maddie for short. I enjoy art and music. I am from a large family and I am the oldest girl. I love spending time with my younger sibling and helping them learn. I have experience in babysitting children of all ages. I am excited for the opportunity to work with children to help them learn and grow.
Miss CinthiA
I was born and raised in New York City. There is where I spent 10 wonderful years of my life working as a teaching assistant for the NYC Department of Education.
I had the opportunity of working in an elementary school with students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade, to mostly special needs children. Working one on one with students as well as teaching in small group settings allowed me to be a positive and nurturing guide for students and tend to their academic and emotional needs.
Working with children brought a great joy to my life. Their curious minds and heartfelt expressions never cease to amaze me!
In 2017, my husband of 20 years and I decided to move to North Carolina. This change has been a blessing in many ways but most importantly, it has allowed us to re-embark on the adventurous journey of being full-time servants. For this I am extremely grateful.
It’s my great pleasure to join Miss Kim’s Educational Center!
Rachel lodato
HI, my name is Rachel. I have always loved teaching children. In high school, I took a class on early childhood development.
I spent time as a student teacher in a first grade class in the local elementary school. Over many years I’ve had Bible studies with young children, preteens and teens.
Growing up in a family as the oldest child by 6 years, I often babysat my brother and sister. I also babysat children in my congregation.
I have many spiritual nieces and nephews. I enjoy spending time with children, listening to them and helping them make good goals in life.
I have one 7-year-old nephew, who I love very, very much. I really enjoy helping him grow and become a spiritual young man.
Recently, I started taking some of the home-schooled children in my home in the afternoons to do little projects and play sports outside.
It is a privilege to help children learn and grow. I look forward to working with Miss Kim!

Miss Robyne (Substitute Teacher)
Hello there! I'm Miss Robyne, and I'm thrilled to be a substitute teacher at Miss Kim's. Teaching has always been my dream, and now I get to live that dream while homeschooling my three amazing children. I truly believe that children are precious gifts from our Creator, and it's an absolute privilege to play a role in shaping and molding them, all while giving them the space to be their authentic selves.
I've found that there's so much to learn from these young minds, and I cherish the unique qualities each child brings to the table. When I'm not in teacher mode with my own kiddos, you'll find me sharing my love for our God, Jehovah, and helping others learn about him.
Beyond the classroom, I'm a nature enthusiast. Whether it's hiking, swimming, camping, or any outdoor adventure you can think of, count me in! I'm genuinely looking forward to meeting and working with your little ones, creating a positive and enriching learning experience here at Miss Kim's. Let's embark on this educational journey together!
